3 Secrets of Fat Loss (Plus: New Challenge)

By Greg Brookes

3 secrets of fat loss
Happy Thursday to you.

I’ve been helping people lose fat for a very long time now.

In fact I was one of the very first personal trainers to offer a full money back guarantee in London should my clients not lose at least 7 lbs in 30 days.

I learnt very quickly that fat loss requires 3 key factors if you are going to maximise its effect:

1) Motivation

Motivation can come from many different sources but ultimately fat loss has to MEAN something important to you.

6 weeks to a wedding, having recently had a heart attack or letting others down are all strong forms of motivation.

My favourite is accountability, making a personal pledge to friends and family that you are going to lose a certain amount of weight in a certain time.

The more people you can tell of your goals and the stricter the timeframe the more effective your fat loss will be.

2) Nutrition

Nothing will have a bigger impact on your health and fat loss than what you eat and drink on a daily basis.

No amount of exercise can change the way you look and feel if your 3 meals per day consist of DEAD food.

If you want to make some serious headway into fat loss then you need to start putting lots of fresh and live food into your body.

DEAD Food = DEAD Body and Mind

I won’t detail every nutritional change that needs to be made here but just bear in mind that unless you get your diet in order your will not lose fat.

3) Exercise

Not all exercise is created equal. If you want to burn fat from exercise then you must train very differently from if you are trying to gain muscle or improve strength.

The body is a master adapter and will get more efficient at exercise very quickly. If you want to build strength then efficiency is great but for fat loss you want the complete opposite.

For fat loss you need to stay inefficient at all times. You want your body to never get used to an exercise and so use maximum energy both during exercise and afterwards while recovering too.

Long steady cardio is not the answer for fat loss. Short and intense bursts of exercise have been proven time and time again to be more effective for fat loss as well as being more time efficient too.

Greg’s 30 Day Fat Loss Challenge

So now you know the basics of fat loss I’m going to help you achieve your fat loss goals.

Starting on Monday, October the 5th I’m beginning my Fat Loss Challenge.

I’ll be providing you with:

  • Online Accountability via Facebook and email
  • 30 Day Fat Loss Workout Program
  • Nutritional Guide and Support

Everything will be free but I would urge everyone to get involved with the social accountability side of things to ensure you finish and get maximum results too.

The program will not be for complete beginners and will involve both Kettlebell and Bodyweight exercises.

OK, that’s all for today. I’ll be in touch next week with all the details on how you can get involved.

Take care,

Greg
