Shocking Truth About Fat Loss

By Greg Brookes

What you Eat & Drink is more important for fat loss than your workouts!

Are you shocked?

If so you shouldn’t be, you eat 21 meals per week and workout maybe 5.

It’s no contest!

So what is the answer for fat loss? Workout even more?

If your true goal is Fat Loss then you need to change your priorities, change your thinking.

Your first priority should be your diet and second your exercise.

This means that if you only have time for Planning and Cooking healthy food then that should be your main focus.

Here’s my quick 4 step guide to eating for fat loss (in order of priority):

1 Keep a Food Diary or Journal

Research shows that if you track what you eat and drink you are less likely to make mistakes. You can do this online, via an app or on paper. Don’t skip this.

2 Plan & Prep your Meals

Don’t leave it up to chance what you will eat and drink each day. Use your Food Diary to plan out your meals. Shop and prepare as many as you can in advance and keep them either in the fridge or freeze them. Don’t get caught out.

3 Eat More Protein & Fat

If you base all your meals around good proteins and fat then you will stay fuller and more satisfied for longer. Think Chicken & Avocado, Beef & Cashew, Salmon & Olive Oil. Add lots of fresh veggies and if necessary a complex carbohydrate like: Sweet Potatoes or Quinoa.

4 Don’t Stuff Yourself

If you eat slowly and push the plate away when you are almost full then you limit calorie intake and give your body and brain time to adjust.

Fat Loss is all about building small long lasting habits.

Your Food Diary is your scorecard.

Each week you should try and improve one element of your diary.

Can you eat a better breakfast? Can you drink one less alcoholic or sugary drink? Can you ensure you don’t skip a meal?

Over the years I’ve used my 4 minute habit building workouts along with my habit building nutritional programs to great success. They are manageable so they work.
